I decided to put my mum's funeral back a week.

When I arranged the funeral last week, I didn't realize that the registration / death certificate would have to be done by post.

The funeral had to be paid by Friday to secure cremation spot but because of the delay of her death certificate being posted out, I decided to stop stressing and put it back a week.

I know my mum wouldn't want me to stress and I know that amount of stress isn't good for my mental health and it's important that I look after myself, too.

Her bank has said it will take five days to get funds from her account (she had an old account as well as her current savings one that I don't have any details for so her death certificate has to be sent off) and I know in my heart that I wouldn't get it all done by Friday.

The plan next week is just call DWP (applied for funeral grant) and bank to check on progress daily if needed.

A letter I can't send...

Dear.... I don't know what to call you. Dad is so... personal for someone that barely knew you and yet, Calling you by your name feels unnatural too. I've been thinking about you a lot recently. I know that you are not alive anymore to actually find you and say this to you so this letter is my way of talking to you. I have always believed that I must be a bad person because of you. 30 day song challenge day 13.

30 day song challenge: Day 13. A song you like from the 1970's. I do listen to a lot of 70's music (I listen to anything from the 1950's onwards, it was what my mum and grandma listened to when I was young) and there is a lot of songs from the 70's I love (Starman, 20th Century boy, Bye bye baby, Tiger feet...)
