The Masked Singer UK.

Last night (February 13th) I, like many other people, say down to watch the "Masked Singer UK" series 2 finale.

And it was as brilliant as promised.

If you haven't watched the show, let me explain it to you.

Basically it's a singing/ mystery guessing game competition. A celebrity sings a song. The twist? That celebrity is dressed head - to -toe in a costume (badger, grandfather clock, swan, for example) and their identity is hidden.

And we, the viewers, have to guest  the identity of the celebrity, just bylistening to the  clues (some are red herrings) and the voice.

Also are the judges; Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan, try to guess the identity of the celebrity.

The singers are put to a studio vote and the losing singer is unmasked.

Spoilers ahead......

Last night, the final 3 singers ; Robin, Badger and Sausage, took to the stage. In the first round, Robin was voted off, and JLS singer Aston Merrygold was revealed.

Badger and Sausage went head to head in the final round and in the end, Sausage was revealed to be the winner.

Badger was unveiled next. This was revealed to be Ne-yo, the brilliantly under-rated singer/ songwriter/ actor/ dancer. I love some of his songs, and recongized his voice. I think he has a unique voice, and he did try to disguise it, but a lot of viewers knew.

And then Sausage was revealed to be Joss Stone. I didn't actually think of her as a guess, but she was brilliant and Sausage was so much fun to watch.

The show is exactly what we need at the moment. It's daft, fun and really easy viewing. It's lovely to have something to watch as an escape from the heavy stuff going on in the world right now.
